Summary

The Growth Company’s (GC) Innovate UK Business Growth team is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join its Contracts Team. In this role, you will provide vital administrative and data/document management support, ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely preparation of funder claims. You will also be responsible for compiling documents, verification samples, and audit evidence to meet compliance requirements and deadlines.

This is a part-time position, working 18 hours per week across 4 or 5 days. The role is offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months to provide maternity cover.

Key Responsibilities:

Compile monthly claim evidence packs, sourcing and referencing documents to ensure a fully compliant audit trail.
Support the Contracts Team with documentary evidence for claim verification checks and funder/statutory audits.
Manage wider funder documentation (e.g., output evidence, procurement records, contracts), ensuring accurate formatting and filing.
Oversee state aid processes, including issuing information to clients, maintaining CRM data, managing Hybrid mail, and responding to queries.
Administer the timesheet process and tracking systems to ensure timely, accurate data for funder claim deadlines.
Maintain and control key funder documentation (contracts, agreements, MOUs), ensuring records are up-to-date and audit-ready.
Manage credit card and corporate travel documentation, verifying expenditure and maintaining logs for claim recovery.
Experience:

Proven experience delivering effective administrative support with a highly organised and efficient approach (Essential).
Background in finance or accounting administration roles, providing support within departmental processes (Desirable).
Experience working in fast-paced, professional environments requiring accuracy, attention to detail, and high standards (Desirable).
Systematic and methodical approach to managing administrative tasks.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
Committed to producing consistently high-quality work.
About You:

Strong educational background, particularly in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications/experience demonstrating these skills (Essential).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (Essential).
Understanding of basic finance processes, transactions, and systems (Desirable).
Familiarity with administrative practices such as document control, records management, forms design, and task scheduling (Desirable).
Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all tasks.
Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality work to professional standards.
