Reporting to the Internal Communications (IC) Manager, the role is to liaise with key stakeholders from across the business to provide a professional and effective internal communications service which meets the strategic needs of the agency and is in line with GCS frameworks.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Communications Officer to join our team. This is an exciting time to join us as you will support the continuous improvement of new digital communication channels and deliver exceptional communication across an agency of more than 6,000 people. You will help to motivate, inspire and engage our people, ensuring they understand what’s happening across the agency and how they contribute to its success.

We are a supportive, close-knit team, trusted by our key stakeholders to deliver high-quality communications and advice. No two days are the same and you will have plenty of opportunity to work on a variety of campaigns with a range of stakeholders across the agency.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Developing, and delivering, innovative and creative campaigns based on audience insight, using effective communication channels to engage audiences and maximise reach.
  • Writing engaging content that informs our target audience using effective story-telling methods to maximise impact.
  • Delivering communications to agreed time, quality, and standard working with the wider business to achieve a successful outcome.
  • Supporting the Corporate Engagement Manager to deliver a series of corporate events.
  • Reviewing internal communication processes with the aim of identifying improvements to processes and ways of working to deliver a best-in-class service.
  • Actively seeking and participating in communication learning and development to maintain professional standards.
