Summary
Neway International are seeking a Panel Administrator – G6 (Social Care – Unqualified) to join our client Cardiff Council.
Location: County Hall, Cardiff
Hours: 37 per week (09:00 – 17:00)
Start Date: 05 January 2026 - initially for a 4 month contract that will be extended after review
Pay Rates: PAYE £16.10 per hour / Limited/Umbrella £20.92 per hour

The Role
As Panel Administrator, you will provide vital administrative support to a newly created project within Cardiff Children’s Services. You will be responsible for managing competing demands, supporting meetings, and ensuring accurate records and action points are maintained. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a small team under the guidance of a supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to project meetings, including accurate note-taking and creation of action points
Manage competing pressures and deadlines with efficiency and professionalism
Support the delivery of the project from conception to implementation
Work collaboratively with colleagues and professionals across agencies and services in Cardiff
Problem-solve and negotiate solutions to conflicting demands, always prioritising the needs of the child
Receive training and ongoing coaching to adapt skills to the requirements of the project
Candidate Requirements
Highly organised with excellent time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Skilled in note-taking, record keeping, and creating clear action points
Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
Team player with flexibility to adapt to project needs
Commitment to supporting better outcomes for children and young people
