Summary

Ipswich Borough Council’s Park Protection Team are responsible for ensuring the safety of visitors and upkeep of all parks & open spaces around Ipswich seven days a week.

We are looking for two individuals who can commit to working a 14 hours every four weeks on either a Saturday (7 hours) or Sunday (7 hours).

If you are able to commit two weekend days every four weeks, like working outside, enjoys parks and open spaces with a full driving licence we would like to hear from you.

Ipswich Borough Council’s Park Protection Team are responsible for ensuring the safety of visitors and upkeep of all parks & open spaces around Ipswich seven days a week.

Our work is not only limited to parks, it also extends to allotments, cemeteries, play areas and recreation grounds. Whether it be deterring antisocial behaviour, locking and unlocking parks, litter picking, dealing with public enquires, working alongside other departments or carrying out play area inspections; no two days are the same.

You will be quick thinking and able to use your own initiative. You will be physically capable of carrying out foot patrols over long distances. You will also be required to use an airwaves radio and record information via a smart phone.
