We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Lead Multi Skilled Caretaker to join our team and play a key role in driving excellence and innovation.
What you'll do:
Maintain full knowledge of building fabric, maintenance requirements, and related procedures.
Ensure all areas of the site are maintained to the required standards.
Carry out minor repairs to building fabric, services, and equipment as directed by the FM Manager.
Use tools, equipment, materials, and cleaning agents correctly and only after appropriate training.
Identify and report safety hazards or concerns (e.g., faulty lighting, damaged flooring, obstructed fire doors).
Complete daily and weekly checks, reporting issues promptly.
Report and label any faulty equipment; ensure it is taken out of use.
Use appropriate safety signage at all times and communicate hazards to customers where necessary.
Manage materials responsibly, avoiding unnecessary waste.
Maintain clean, tidy, and safe storage areas.
Follow all security procedures for materials, equipment, and buildings, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform compliance.
Notify the FM Manager of low stock levels for timely reordering.
Respond to Helpdesk calls within required timeframes and provide updates to the Helpdesk/FM Manager.
Attend training sessions and meetings as required, including those outside normal working hours.
Provide cover in other areas during staff absences (e.g., sickness, holidays).
Keep tools and equipment clean, properly maintained, and report defects immediately.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and client site regulations.
Comply with health & safety, hygiene, fire safety, and chemical safety regulations, including awareness of site-specific hazards.
Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by the FM Manager.
Participate in meetings and training as required, occasionally outside standard working hours.
What you'll bring:
A recognised trade qualification (e.g., electrical or plumbing) – desirable and an advantage.
Strong awareness and compliance with safe systems of work, including Health & Safety, hygiene, fire safety, and chemical safety regulations.
A commitment to delivering a consistent, high-quality service aligned with company standards and contractual requirements.
Professional conduct at all times, including adherence to site rules (e.g., no smoking on school grounds).
Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to be contacted outside of normal working hours for urgent or emergency issues.
A collaborative approach, working effectively as part of a larger onsite team.
