Summary
The role requires an individual with passion, commitment, excellent communication skills and a vision to drive the development of the symptomatic breast imaging service It would be expected that you support the breast services and senior divisional management team. It is anticipated that you will have a pivotal role in supporting and developing robust, safe and a forward-thinking service with allocated resources. You would be expected to have a strategic overview of how to improve breast services and work as a key stakeholder in leading the advanced and enhanced clinical practice by clinical colleagues. The candidate would be expected to be proficient in all aspects of skills required to deliver a one stop breast clinic including diagnostic and interventional breast radiology and reporting of images. The candidate would also be expected to work closely in a multi- disciplinary team. Any other duties necessary for the successful performance of the role, commensurate with the grade. As an Advanced Practitioner you would be expected to take an active role in research and development, training and education, leadership and management. You would be an autonomous practitioner, demonstrating evidenced based practice to uphold the four pillars of advanced clinical practice in keeping with the Society of Radiographers career framework. You will work with a job plan and will have allocated time to fulfil all the requirements to fulfil the role of an Advanced Practitioner.
