Your new company are a leader in their field based in Stoke on Trent and looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
- Process and verify supplier invoices.
- Reconcile statements and resolve issues.
- Review expenses and credit card claims.
- Prepare payment runs and manage AP queries.
- Issue and distribute customer invoices.
- Monitor payments and chase overdue balances.
- Reconcile accounts and send statements.
- Handle AR queries and support credit control.
- Banking
- Complete weekly bank reconciliations.
- Record daily receipts/payments across multiple currencies.
- Maintain petty cash records.
- Liaise with banks on queries.
- Assist with month-end/year-end tasks.
- Provide data for audits and analysis.
- Maintain financial spreadsheets.
- Suggest process improvements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Organised, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- A team player who is adaptable and able to work independently.
- Confident communicator - must be comfortable handling customer and supplier queries by phone.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What you'll get in return

- On site working but some hybrid working can be agreed on occasional basis
