Summary
The professional Clinical Evidence Based Information Service (CEBIS) Manager takes the lead on delivering complex knowledge and evidence services across the Trust to enable high quality decision-making, learning, research and innovation, to achieve excellent healthcare and health improvement.
Using their highly developed professional, technical and communication skills, the post leads on the strategic and operational management of the Clinical Evidence Based Information Service (CEBIS) across all hospital sites.
The postholder will take a role in education provision within the libraries and across the wider healthcare team through Evidence in Practice and CAT Groups.

1. Manage the budget for the CEBIS Team, including pay, non-pay and income.
2. Adhere to UHCW NHS Trust Standing Financial Instructions and ensure that all managed staff are aware, and adhering to, policies and imposed restrictions.
3. Nominated signatory for CEBIS cost centre.
4. Prepare bids and assessment relating to the purchase of resources in response to local, regional and national information requirements
5. Maximise the value of specific income generating activities e.g., evidence work undertaken for external bodies on a consultancy basis
6. Seek new business opportunities outside the Trust to increase income generation.

• Develop and implement high level strategy in Clinical Librarianship at a local, national and international level, making presentation on the service at meetings at these levels.
• Contribute to the development of national initiatives to promote the role of Clinical Librarians in the NHS, working in partnership with external bodies as required.
• Manage the CEBIS Teams’ contribution to the development of local policies and strategies within UHCW NHS Trust by providing the evidence base for these.
• Represent the Clinical Evidence Based Information Service on national and international steering groups and committees.
• Manage UHCW NHS Trust’s response to the NHS England Quality and Impact Outcomes Framework for NHS Knowledge and Library Services in collaboration with the Head of Knowledge Services.
