Summary

Location: Hainault Forest, Romford Road, Chigwell, IG7 4QN

Type: Part Time - 16 hours - Friday, Saturday and Sundays each week

Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Hainault Forest, the 1856 Café is a vibrant community hub within our restored venue, complete with an events space, farm, and play area. Since opening in 2023, we’ve become a place where families, friends, and nature lovers come together to relax, connect, and enjoy great food and drink in the heart of the country park.

We’re looking for enthusiastic Hospitality Assistants to join our friendly team and help deliver exceptional service to every guest who walks through our doors. Whether it’s crafting the perfect coffee, serving up freshly made treats, or supporting special events, every day brings something new.

Job role:

Attend to all customers in a polite and professional manner providing the best service standards
Ability to follow instruction in order to execute F&B offer to the required standards at all times
Ability to work a range of different services, from Café service; corporate events and wedding receptions
Follow cleaning schedule for FOH and related areas
Follow HACCAP, COSSH and other H&S regulations as required
Operate all equipment safely and in line with instruction
Assist with any other task within scope of the role as required

Essential requirements:

Experience in customer facing environment essential, barista/bar/restaurant experience beneficial
Ability work as part of the team and on own initiative
Ability to follow instruction and execute to the highest standards
Food safety, Allergen and other H&S training beneficial
