SHE Advisor

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (DOE)
Location: Clitheroe (On-site)
Employment Type: Permanent
Business: The Compleat Food Group

Help us create food to feel good – safely.

The Compleat Food Group is on a mission to create great-tasting, sustainable food that people love. As part of our continued
commitment to safety, health, and environmental excellence, we’re looking for a proactive and hands-on SHE Advisor to join our
Clitheroe site.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact across a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting a strong safety
culture while helping drive continuous improvement.

About the Role

As a SHE Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the effective implementation of the site’s Safety, Health, and
Environmental (SHE) management system.

This is a practical, people-focused position where you’ll work across all levels of the organisation—coaching, influencing, and
promoting best practice to ensure a safe, compliant, and positive working environment.

In the absence of the SHE Manager, you will act as the site’s competent person, ensuring legal compliance and upholding SHE
standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Support the reduction of SHE risks and hazards across the site
* Assist the site in achieving full legal compliance
* Deliver SHE-related training to colleagues
* Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and safety checks
* Provide clear, practical SHE guidance to all teams
* Implement TCFG’s SHE management system and associated processes
* Support contractor and visitor management, including PTW and audits
* Lead and assist in risk assessments and risk management activities
* Lead and support incident investigations and root cause analysis
* Maintain accurate document control and compliance records
* Identify unsafe conditions and drive corrective actions
* Update and maintain SHE compliance documentation
* Uphold and audit safety-critical procedures
* Contribute to governance activities required by the SHE management system
* Deputise for the SHE Manager when required
* Liaise with external authorities and auditors where needed
* Participate in SHE forums and contribute to wider SHE initiatives across TCFG

What We’re Looking For

* Level 3 H&S Qualification (minimum)
* Ideally Level 6 H&S Qualification and an Environmental qualification
* 3–5 years’ experience in a similar SHE role, ideally within manufacturing or FMCG
* Good knowledge of SHE principles, environmental management, and ISO 45001
* Strong influencing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* A practical, proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
