Job objectives and responsibilities
The Security Services Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and enhancement of all security operations across two key sites: a corporate office environment and a large manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will ensure the consistent delivery of a safe, compliant, and professional security service at both locations, safeguarding people, property, and assets while supporting business continuity and operational efficiency.
This is a pivotal, high-impact role requiring a dynamic and experienced security professional who can confidently manage the differing demands of a high-profile corporate setting and an operationally intensive manufacturing site. The postholder will ensure that both environments receive tailored, effective security oversight within a single coherent management framework.
Main duties
Operational Management
-Oversee, coordinate, and continuously improve security operations across both the corporate office and the manufacturing facility, ensuring consistent performance and professional standards.
-Lead and support security teams at both sites, providing visible and active management presence.
-Develop deployment plans and resourcing structures that accommodate the distinct risk profiles and operating hours of both environments.
-Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and operational reviews to ensure compliance, efficiency, and readiness.
-Act as the principal point of contact for all major incidents or escalations across both sites, ensuring swift, coordinated response.
-Gain a full working knowledge of the Pass Office and ensure resource resilience in this area.
Strategic Leadership and Compliance
-Develop and maintain robust security policies and procedures aligned with corporate risk management, manufacturing safety protocols, and legal requirements.
-Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation, including health & safety, data protection, and industry standards.
-Lead security risk assessments for both environments, identifying vulnerabilities unique to each and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
-Foster strong relationships with local law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant regulatory bodies.
People Management and Development
-Provide leadership and professional development to all security personnel across both locations, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and service excellence.
-Manage performance, training, and welfare of staff, ensuring competence and confidence in handling both corporate and industrial security challenges.
-Oversee recruitment, induction, and succession planning across two locations, ensuring a high-performing and reliable workforce.

Qualifications and Experience
-Extensive experience managing security operations across multiple sites is essential.
-Proven track record overseeing security across contrasting environments, ideally combining corporate or office-based operations with industrial, manufacturing, or logistics facilities.
-Demonstrable ability to manage complex and fast-paced security operations requiring flexibility, rapid decision-making, and sound prioritisation.
-Recognised qualification in Security or Risk Management (minimum Level 3 or equivalent) required, higher-level qualification desirable.
-Valid SIA licence (Security Management, Close Protection, or Door Supervision) essential.
-Strong evidence of success in multi-site leadership, including policy implementation, resource allocation, and emergency response coordination.
-Proven experience conducting comprehensive risk assessments, managing incident response, and liaising with emergency services across different operational settings.
-Sound knowledge of security technology systems and integration in both office and industrial environments.
-Thorough understanding of security compliance, site access control, fire safety coordination, and corporate governance expectations.
