Summary

Our client, a highly regarded educational institution in Epsom, Surrey, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the individualised support necessary to thrive academically and socially.

As a Part-time SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, adapting learning materials and activities to suit their individual requirements.
- Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement personalised learning plans, monitoring student progress, and maintaining accurate records.
- Encouraging students to participate in classroom activities, fostering their independence, and promoting their social and emotional well-being.
- Assisting with the preparation of educational resources and maintaining a tidy and organised learning space.
- Attending relevant meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with special educational needs.

To be considered for this rewarding position, our client is looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field (e.g. , NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
- Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, preferably within an educational setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting and empowering students with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
