Salary: £95,500 per annum

Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week (Mon - Fri)

Location: Based at Trinity Buoy Wharf, London, E14 0JW



We are looking for a PFI Transformation Director to lead comprehensive transformation across our PFI contracts, specifically focusing on the Tower Hamlets Schools portfolio. This key role is accountable for managing client and SPV relationships, ensuring the successful delivery of Service Improvement Plans (SIP), change management, and contract closure plans. The Director will be responsible for inspiring and challenging the senior leadership team to accelerate strategic change and drive business performance.



This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that is based at our office in Trinity Buoy Wharf, London. It will be working Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.



Core Responsibilities :



Financial Management & Performance

Work with senior operational leaders to maximise opportunities for cost reduction, service improvement, and EBITDA growth.

Initiate and lead efforts to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

Ensure robust controls are maintained for managing reactive and lifecycle spend.

Review specific activity budgets with appropriate managers to ensure effective financial management across all contracts.



Operational Delivery & Transformation

Design and lead the transformation plan for the contracts to achieve and sustain service improvement.

Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team on the delivery of the Service Improvement Plans (SIP) agreed with the client.

Ensure assured delivery of the SIP, keeping the client fully informed of progress, risks, and issues.

Own and manage the PFI Closure Programme, securing agreement from both internal management and the client.

The programme phases broadly cover:

Delivering the SIP.

Preparing for expiry.

Completing handback, lifecycle, and remedial works.

Handover to the client/end-user.

Drive a culture and climate that enables teams to achieve sustained success, measured by financial KPIs and client recognition.

Facilitate cross-sector business unit collaboration for PFI closure activities, including training, problem-solving, and guidance.

Promote innovative ways to add value and reduce costs within the portfolio.

Deliver a level of service and value that enhances the G4S brand and fosters long-term partnering relationships.

Achieve an agreed set of KPIs, reporting monthly on performance and spend to ensure full oversight of compliance and adherence to budget baselines.



People Management & Leadership

Provide leadership to the contracts team, ensuring all employees are fully engaged with and adopt relevant plans and values for successful delivery.

Lead by example, ensuring adherence to company values, ethical standards, policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.

Recruit, professionally manage, and develop outstanding team members who staff their teams with motivated people.

Actively manage the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees by ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, G4S policies, and practices, and effectively managing corporate risks.



Customer Engagement & Stakeholder Management

Develop strategic and positive partnerships with key stakeholders to support, promote, and enhance the delivery of FM services.

Work closely with G4S operational leads on PFI contracts to ensure effective service delivery and bring clarity to the inherent commercial complexities.

Act as the "face of G4S FM" to the client for transformational, SIP, and closure activities where appropriate.

Drive and maintain effective communication to all stakeholders, ensuring the sharing of consistent, accurate, and relevant Management Information (MI).


Required Experience & Skills

Significant senior leadership experience within a similarly sized, complex, portfolio outsourcing environment.

Proven leadership experience in a geographically dispersed, multi-functional, demanding, and people-focused environment.

Strong people leadership skills, coupled with robust team-building abilities.

Significant experience delivering complex services within PFI contracts, including a strong understanding of the associated challenges and opportunities.

Demonstrable capability in leading PFI closure programmes.

Extensive capability in service improvement planning, proven to deliver a step change in performance.

Significant personal impact and influencing skills to build and maintain customer confidence across all transformation and closure activities.

Strong collaboration and stakeholder management experience.

Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Motivated and results-oriented, with the drive to take tough decisions and continuously raise performance standards to achieve targets.

Leadership experience within a geographically dispersed, multi-functional demanding and people focused environment.
