Summary
Job Summary:
We are currently hiring a highly skilled and experienced Car Mechanic/Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles, with specific expertise in clutch systems, timing belts/chains, engine diagnostics, and general drivetrain components. A strong focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction is essential.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify faults or issues
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine diagnostics, brake repairs, transmission and suspension work
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and servicing
Document all work carried out accurately and in accordance with company procedures
Test vehicles post-repair to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety standards
Communicate effectively with team members regarding repair progress and findings
Maintain clear communication with service advisors regarding work performed.
Experience:
Proven mechanical knowledge with previous experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for vehicle repairs
Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and vehicle electronic systems is advantageous
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance or similar are preferred but not essential
