Join us as a Technical Stores Person at our Boscombe Down Site in Amesbury, Wiltshire, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.


You will be required to work a daily routine duty of a Technical Stores Person within Logistics at Boscombe Down, Amesbury, Wiltshire.

This may also require you to carry out bespoke duties which encompasses the accounting for all MoD owned equipment and materials including Government Furnished Assets (GFA) whilst held at Boscombe Down along with the day-to-day provision of centralised clothing.


Typical duties will include:


• Goods receipt – Take delivery of goods, materials, parts and assemblies from
internal and external sources
• Storage – Ensure that all goods, materials, parts and assemblies are stored in
a controlled, compliant to specifications manner. That they retain fitness for
purpose maintaining: - identification and traceability
• Stock keeping
• Picking and packing orders
• Stock movement – Moving stock by hand, with lifting gear or by Manual
Handling Equipment (MHE)
• Maintain records
• Despatch of goods – Packing and loading of goods for despatch including
making deliveries
• To supply goods and materials to authorised military customers in accordance
with relevant MoD policy




Key Experience/knowledge:

• Management of military clothing, equipment, goods and materials into the
clothing store is desirable
• Highly developed sense of integrity and committed to customer satisfaction
• Experience in logistics
• Competent at working with Microsoft Office applications
. Forklift licence would be beneficial but not mandatory
• Management of Joint Deployed Inventories (MJDI) and S.A.P. experience
would be beneficial but not mandatory
