The Role
As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for crafting a range of artisanal pastries, desserts, and breads that reflect our ethos of quality and creativity. You’ll work closely with our culinary team to design seasonal menus and elevate our dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
-Create and prepare high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods for our restaurant, café, and events.
-Develop innovative dessert menus using seasonal and local ingredients.
-Ensure consistency in presentation, taste, and quality.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pastry station in compliance with food safety standards.
-Collaborate with the Head Chef and team to align pastry offerings with the overall menu.
-Manage inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste.
-Contribute ideas for specials, events, and seasonal offerings.

-We’re looking for a creative, dedicated, and skilled Pastry Chef who shares our passion for exceptional food and outstanding guest experiences.
Requirements:
-Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role in a high-quality kitchen.
-Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
-Creativity and a keen eye for detail in both flavor and aesthetics.
-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
-Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
-Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
-A team player with strong communication skills.
-A passion for using local, sustainable ingredients.
Desirable:
-Formal culinary or patisserie training/qualifications.
-Experience in menu development and costing.
-Familiarity with Scottish produce and culinary traditions.
