Summary

Are you passionate about making a positive different in the lives of families and CYP (children and young people) with special educational needs?
Melksham House School (MHS) is a new all through (4-16) SEMH independent special day school located within Wiltshire. MHS is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Relational Support Worker to provide essential support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Emotionally-Based School Avoidance (EBSA) and their families. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils, employees, parents/carers and outside agencies to ensure transition to school is successful and consistent implementation of relational practice is used by all stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Deliver, record, monitor and review relational support interventions throughout the setting.
Provide early help and safeguarding support to identified pupils, attending meetings and writing reports as appropriate.
Analyse relational data to identify individual and group patterns where additional support may be required.
To train employees in a range of strategies that enable the emotional regulation and social interaction of pupils.
Assist with the development and implementation of relational support plans, 12 week outcomes and EHCP reviews.
Liaise with teachers to ensure interventions are in place enabling pupils to maximise their achievement and progress

Experience:
Proficient knowledge in literacy and numeracy
Be willing to undertake and implement training in the use of software and equipment
Be willing to undertake and implement training including PECS and Team Teach training
Be committed to supporting an individualised and flexible curriculum which promotes independence, flexibility of thought and sensory integration

Hours: 31 hours per week (08:30-15:00 Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, 08:30-16:00 Weds)
