Summary
Reporting to the Registered Manager, Support Workers at Magenta Domiciliary Care Services provide person-centred care to individuals in their own homes and within the community. Working to a daily rota, you will help customers live as independently as possible, in line with their care plans and daily requirements. Our customers may require support due to: - Older age and age-related needs - Poor mental health - Substance misuse or addiction issues - Social challenges such as isolation or housing difficulties - Physical disabilities or long-term health conditions - Learning disabilities or developmental conditions Key Responsibilities - Deliver personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and medication prompts. - Support customers to access the community, attend social activities, and engage in leisure opportunities. - Assist with household tasks such as meal preparation and light domestic duties. - Book and/or attend appointments with customers, ensuring access to health and social services. - Communicate with external agencies - where appropriate (e.g. local authority, Department for Work and Pensions) on behalf of customers. - Liaise with family members or next of kin where appropriate. - Identify and report safeguarding concerns promptly. - Maintain accurate records in line with company policies and CQC standards. - Work independently, travelling between customer addresses and community locations. Essential Requirements - Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance. - Right to work in the UK. - Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check during application. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals. Desirable Skills & Experience - Previous experience in domiciliary care or support work. - Knowledge of care planning and compliance requirements. - Understanding of mental health, learning disabilities, or addiction support. - Flexibility to adapt to changing customer needs.
