Summary

We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Senior Support Worker.

Longlast is a well-established, CQC rated outstanding, 11-bed residential care home for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and physical disabilities in Stockton-on-Tees between Carlton and Thorpe Thewles.

All applicants must hold a full, valid, and clean driving licence and have their own vehicle due to the location of the service and the service needs.

What you’ll be doing:

Assist in managing the care of the people that live with us, monitoring the quality and delivery of the service.
Lead by example, motivate and develop the team to deliver a high-quality provision.
Promoting independence.
Personal care.
Will involve a variation of shifts and the option to work long days. Shifts are generally between the hours of 8:00 am and 9:30 pm.
You will be part of the on-call rota.
Who you are:

You must possess an excellent ethos and values around the provision of care.
An existing Senior Support worker or an experienced Support worker looking to progress.
You are a clear and confident communicator.
You will have a good understanding of using computers.
You are flexible and have the ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and Bank holidays.
You will hold a minimum of NVQ level 2 in health and social care or equivalent and will have a willingness to complete your level 3.
