The Role

As a Structural Design Engineer, you’ll work on a diverse range of projects across sectors including automotive, conservation, accommodation, leisure, and healthcare. You’ll produce detailed designs for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures using British Standards and Eurocodes, and create 3D models to explore options and value engineering opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

Checking third-party designs for permanent and temporary works
Producing your own designs and calculations
Troubleshooting site-based technical issues
Attending site visits and meetings to provide technical support
Communicating clearly through reports, sketches, and verbal discussions
The Right Person

Flexible, motivated, and enthusiastic
Strong knowledge of British construction methods and standards
Proficient in Tekla Structural Designer and Tedds
Comfortable with site visits and client interaction
