Summary
J & S Vicary require a Full-Time Local Delivery Driver. The successful candidate will deliver throughout East Yorkshire, driving an Isuzu pick-up truck with a 14ft trailer and small crane. Day to day activities will involve delivery of bulk bags of logs and garden supplies to retail customers. When not delivering, additional tasks will include bagging of products, firewood production and loader work. Full training will be provided. (40 hours per week plus Overtime)
The successful candidate will:
• Have a valid UK Driving Licence (with 3 or less penalty points).
• Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience of driving whilst towing a trailer.
• Be a reliable and safe driver that can handle vehicles and trailers carefully.
• Be willing to stack logs occasionally, when delivering.
• Have a flexible outlook, friendly personality and a smart appearance.
• Care for and take pride in the cleanliness and maintenance of their equipment.
• Be able to work effectively on their own and as part of our firewood production team.
This role is ideally suited to applicants living in, or around the East Riding of Yorkshire as it is based at our yard, just outside Market Weighton. Salary is negotiable, dependent upon experience. Overtime is payable after 40 hours per week and a pension scheme is available.
