A Vacancy at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Cardiac Radiographer to join an expanding service in CMR and CTCA within Watford General Hospital for a fixed term, 9 months role.
The purpose of this post is to be an effective member of the Cardiac Radiography team, providing a high standard of cardiac radiographic service to patients and stakeholders.
Supervision of junior staff and students would be an expectation, and it is essential that the post holder can lead a team.
To undertake imaging examinations within the Radiology Department to the standard required by the Department of Radiology.
To assist the Lead Radiographers in the day to day running of the Cardiac MRI and CT scanners, maintaining the high standards at all times.
To deputise for the Superintendent / Lead Radiographers in their absence.
To carry out monitoring procedures on equipment in the radiology Department, reporting any faults to the Superintendent Radiographer/Radiology Services Manager.
To respond to and investigate any reports of malfunction of the CT and MRI apparatus, accessories, office equipment or computer system.
With a new hospital planned for Watford, work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital and plans for a neighbourhood healthcare centre in Hemel Hempstead, this is an exciting time to join us.
