Summary

University of Southampton Libraries have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Customer Services Supervisor. Based at the Health Service Library within Southampton General Hospital, you will be joining the team providing services to our wide range of users including university staff, UHS staff, students and external visitors.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a small team offering excellent service to the users of the library. You will be a positive person, have experience of working in a customer facing role and be an effective communicator.

The library uses multiple IT systems to deliver an excellent customer service. Therefore, you will have recent experience of using standard Microsoft software with the ability to use a range of IT systems and communication platforms.

The successful candidate will supervise a small team of Customer Services Assistants to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a high quality and professional customer service to all library users. You will also form part of the University Library Enquiries team where you will answer customer queries in person, over the phone and in an online environment.

Salary is between £27,319- 30,378 pro rata per annum. Successful candidates will benefit from a generous annual leave entitlement, University Closure Days, a contributory pension scheme and a structured training programme.

The following shift pattern is available:

Friday – Sunday 13.45-20.15
