Summary
Godmanchester Community Academy is seeking a compassionate, organised and highly motivated Welfare & Thrive Administrator to join our dedicated team. This is a new and exciting role that blends pastoral support, safeguarding, attendance monitoring and administrative duties to ensure that every child in our school feels safe, supported and ready to learn.

Contract type: Permanent, 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday 08:45am - 15:15 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid break, 39 weeks per year (term time + 5 inset days).
Salary: Level 4, Point 12 - 15, namely £22,641 - £23,770 (FTE £28,598 - £30,024)
As a central member of our pastoral and safeguarding team, you will be a trusted adult for pupils, offering welfare check-ins, emotional support and early intervention for those experiencing difficulties with attendance, wellbeing or engagement. You will also be the first point of contact for parents and carers who have concerns about their child’s welfare, offering guidance, reassurance and signposting to external services.
The successful candidate will act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and Mental Health First Aider (training offered), working closely with our Senior Leadership Team, Attendance Officer and external agencies to ensure timely support for children and families. You will help lead Early Help processes, contribute to multi-agency meetings and support the development of attendance plans for pupils who require additional encouragement or structure.
Alongside the pastoral elements of the role, you will support our school office with key administration tasks, helping maintain accurate records, assist with daily communication and contribute to the smooth running of the school day.
