Summary
Stores Operative
Location: Cwmbran
Vibe Recruit's client is seeking a Stores Operative to join its UK operations team. This role is a full time, permanent role with an immediate start. Based at the company's Cwmbran facility and reports to the UK Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and check all goods inwards, goods outwards, and inventory control within the main stores
- Supervise stock components from work-in-progress to finished goods, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Prepare and monitor outgoing packages
- Operate equipment including forklifts, tools, and testing equipment
- Co-ordinate all inbound and outbound freight activities with freight forwarding services
- Support workshop scheduling requirements
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and use of appropriate PPE
- Maintain and organise the stores area, including tools, equipment, and company assets
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong organisational skills
- Mechanically minded with good practical problem-solving abilities
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Flexible, proactive, and innovative in approach
- Comfortable using inventory management systems and other IT tools
- Secondary education or equivalent
- Practical mechanical training or hands-on experience
- Forklift/Counterbalance experience
- Previous experience in inventory, warehousing, or stock control is an advantage
