About Us
Our client, a growing supplier of Pipes, Valves, Fittings and Flanges is seeking an experienced Warehouse supervisory person to head up their stores and warehouse operation. The company are committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service and as the business continues to expand, we are looking for a proactive, hands-on Stores & Warehouse supervisor lead to ensure the smooth, efficient running of our warehouse facility.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role offers excellent potential to evolve into a supervisory position as the team grows.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated individual who takes ownership of their work and is confident bringing new ideas to improve processes, organisation and efficiency. This is a varied and busy warehouse supervisor role requiring strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive, flexible approach.
Key Responsibilities
Goods In
Manage large monthly deliveries and day-to-day incoming stock
Stock allocation, put-away, and stock management
Assist with stock checks and cycle counts
Goods Out
Picking, packing and despatch
Preparing shipments for couriers
Working to time-critical deadlines
General Duties
FLT Counterbalance operation
Occasional local deliveries/collections (must be 25+ for insurance)
Keyholder responsibilities, including closing the premises
Use of company ERP system (training provided)
Communicating with couriers and customers when required
Working on own initiative and keeping operations tidy, organised and productive
Supporting the wider team and adapting to business needs as the company grows
What We’re Looking For
Reliable, self-motivated and proactive
Computer literate and comfortable with goods-in/goods-out processes
A team player with a positive attitude
Flexible and company-minded
Willing to take on additional responsibilities as the operation expands
Valid FLT Counterbalance licence preferred
Full UK driving licence (Age 25+ due to insurance)
