About us

My client is a leading international civil engineering company, specialising in complex market segments such as Transportation, Energy, Tunnelling, Building, Civil and Structural Engineering.

We are proud of our achievements and our reputation for innovation, dynamism and excellence and we are conscious of the fact that this success has been built firmly on the commitment and dedication of each member of our team.

About the role

We are looking to expand our team with skilled and enthusiastic individuals to deliver a tunnelling project in the beautiful region of Snowdonia, North Wales. Our work will significantly enhance the visual impact of the area, burying a network of overhead cables and removing a number of pylons to restore and protect the natural beauty, wildlife and environmental heritage of this precious landscape.

The project is now recruiting a Sub Agent to lead the construction team within area of responsibility and be responsible for all aspects of the works, including compliance with legal, company and project requirements. Within the role, you will be accountable for achieving project commercial and programme requirements.

The role will require you to manage all subcontractors within area of responsibility and chair and produce minutes for weekly meetings with each subcontractor. You will also be required to maintain compliance with all legal, company and project health, safety and environmental requirements.

You must ensure that all required temporary works documents, including briefs, designs and method statements/risk assessments, are produced and approved in accordance with the programme and prior to works commencing. Following on from this, you will then ensure that temporary works are undertaken as per the approved documents and that all necessary checks, inspections and approvals continue during the works and dismantling.

About you

It is essential that you hold a valid CSCS Management card for this position.

You will have a good understanding of the Contractor under CDM Regulations and work inline with contract and company procedures.

You thrive in a team environment, working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to ensure a seamless and cohesive approach.

What we offer

We will provide a competitive salary and benefits (including pension and health care plan), Company Vehicle (or Allowance), accommodation allowance (if outside of a reasonable commuting distance) and access to outstanding training and career opportunities.
