Crynodeb
We are seeking a compassionate Community Care Worker to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need within the community. The ideal candidate will have a caring nature and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Support clients with mobility and undertake heavy lifting when necessary
- Manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals in their homes or nursing facilities
- Implement care plans tailored to each client's specific needs, including hospice care if required
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a nursing home or hospice setting
- Knowledge of patient care practices and procedures
- Ability to drive to clients' homes or care facilities as needed
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families
- A caring and empathetic approach to delivering care services
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care would be advantageous
