Summary
Neway International are seeking a Child Care Support Worker – Social Care Non-Qualified to join our client Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Location: Tredomen House, Ty Tredomen, Nelson Road, Hengoed, CF82 7WF, Hours: 37 per week
Start Date: 08 December 2025 - ongoing
Pay Rates: PAYE £14.36 per hour / Limited/Umbrella £18.80 per hour

The Role
As a Child Care Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people within residential care settings. This temporary role is designed to meet short-term demand and requires flexibility, empathy, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Support children and young people in daily routines, activities, and personal development
Promote independence and positive outcomes through tailored care and guidance
Assist with household tasks and contribute to maintaining a safe, supportive environment
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to deliver consistent care
Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in child care or social care support roles (non-qualified accepted)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport
Resilience and adaptability to meet the needs of children in varied circumstances
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
Ability to work effectively within a team and follow organisational procedures
