A friendly, independent lady is looking for a positive, practical Personal Assistant to provide light household, garden, and organisational support.
This is not a care role — the focus is on practical help, energy, and a positive outlook.

I’m an independent person who enjoys getting out and about, trying new things, and staying active. I’d value some help to keep life, the house, and paperwork organised and running smoothly, and a bit of encouragement to stay motivated and make the most of each week.

You’ll be someone who enjoys getting stuck in — practical, reliable, and upbeat. Tasks include light household jobs, occasional garden work, and help with simple paperwork and organisation. It’s a flexible role that varies week to week and would suit someone who likes to stay busy and make a positive difference.

You’ll be cheerful, energetic, and organised, with a friendly, can-do approach and respect for independence and personal boundaries. The right person will bring enthusiasm and motivation, not emotional support — this is a practical, hands-on role focused on keeping life running smoothly.

Duties include:
- Other relevant duties as required
- Companionship
- To accompany and support me when accessing the community and activities that I enjoy e.g. swimming, pottery, arts and crafts.
- To help me find and access new activities, if they take my interest and meaningful activities, such as voluntary opportunities

Candidate qualities:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Honest and cheerful
- Creative
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Notes:
All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.

If you are successful in your application for this position, you will be either engaged directly or employed by the individual employer and not by Independent Lives. The role may be offered on an employed or self-employed basis, depending on the suitability and agreement with the employer. If the role is employed, you will be entitled to holiday pay and issued an employment contract.

Please note: If you do not hear back within three weeks of applying, unfortunately your application has not been successful on this occasion.
