An elderly Artist and Printmaker living in the centre of York is looking for support on a permanent basis, starting work as soon as possible.
The job:
The personal assistant will be required to assist an elderly lady who is a semi retired artist with mobility issues. The support will mainly be with household duties and provide some support with her artwork where necessary. Household duties will include: hoovering, dusting, cleaning the bathroom, cleaning floors, bed making, ironing, washing, shopping, dish washing, preparation of meals, etc, plus occasional help in the studio.
The right person:
You must be kind, caring, a good listener with a good sense of humour. A driver with use of a car for work purposes is also essential as there will be occasional trips out. Interest in artwork would help a lot and make the job more pleasurable for the work. As home is in the centre of York a carers parking permit will be provided.
The hours:
10 hours a week 2 x 5 hour days. The days and hours of work to be arranged by mutual agreement.
The rates of pay and benefits:
£12.60 per hour.
You will receive 5.6 weeks (pro rata) paid holidays each year.
