What is the job role?
We are seeking an experienced and autonomous Social Worker to join our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team on a full-time fixed term basis. This post is a unique post that will be based within the MASH focusing on support to families from newly arrived communities/migrant backgrounds. This is an exciting opportunity based within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) for 2 years with a potential for this post be extended based on funding.
The MASH brings key professionals together to facilitate quality information sharing, analysis and decision-making, to safeguard vulnerable children, young people more effectively. Staff from across health, children’s services, police, and education are based in the MASH at any one time at its based in Broadgate House in the city centre. Our MASH is the front door to statutory services, by applying consistent thresholds based on Effective Support to Children and Families in Coventry guidance.
The children and young people we support come from a variety of backgrounds and in order to deliver the best possible care it is vital that we have a workforce that represents and understands their unique experiences and perspectives.
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about supporting children and families from newly arrived communities/migrant backgrounds.
We are looking for candidates with a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW), Social Work England registration and individuals who are dedicated professionals with a passion for working with children & families.
