Summary
A Vacancy at East London NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across two teams in the East London CAMHS Alternatives to Admissions Pathway, in the CAMHS Crisis and Intensive Community Care Service.
We are looking for a dedicated and responsive Locum Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to work as a part of a job share across both teams for 6 PAs per week.
The post holder will be joining two established multidisciplinary teams working across three boroughs in East London, offering home treatment and crisis assessments in hospitals.
Offering psychiatric assessment and interventions for young people in mental health crisis and offering oversight of their management and diversion from admission to alternative intensive pathways.
Joining multidisciplinary team meetings and offering clinical leadership to care planning and goal based mental health interventions.
The post holder would also be expected to attend senior management meetings to contribute to clinical governance structures and strategy. They will also be expected to provide leadership and represent the service in multi agency forums.
There will also be supervisory responsibilities for junior medical staff.
This role requires a degree of flexibility and responsiveness because of the unpredictability of working with young people in crisis and risk associated with this.
Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
