At Broxtowe Borough Council we are passionate about the Environment and have made a commitment to be carbon neutral by 2027. Whilst this will be a challenging target, we have a drive to implement improvements across the borough and this role will play a key part in achieving our target.
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated professional to join our Environment Team. You will lead on all tree works and their management across the Borough’s parks and green spaces, responding to tree-related queries and ensuring the health and sustainability of our trees.
The role is primarily based at our Kimberley Depot, although you will be expected to travel across the Borough.

We’re looking for an individual who has experience in:
• Performing tree inspections and tree surveys
• Proven experience in tree management and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of tree species, health assessments and relevant legislation.
• Assessing tree works and quality control
• Excellent communication skills to engage with residents and other stakeholders.
The ideal candidate would:
• Royal Forestry Society certificate in Arboriculture and/or Diploma in Arboriculture at equivalent level 3 or higher.
• Demonstrates a passion for environmental conservation.
• Has experience in managing tree-related projects and works collaboratively within a team.
• Possesses strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Is proficient in using digital tools for reporting and record keeping.
• Holds a valid driving licence.
