ABOUT US
Transforming lives through excellent education
London Met is an extraordinary institution. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it's what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and also for its historical role in serving some of London’s most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education.
Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world.
ABOUT THE POST
Now is an exciting time to be joining the University to take up this role. We are two years into a ten-year estate strategy, which sees the University committing to bold and large-scale investments of £180 million over the next decade, to develop our buildings, physical and digital infrastructure.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Estates (Development), the Senior Project Manager takes leadership and responsibility for the delivery of capital projects with a leading role in the delivery of the capital programme as well as supporting the delivery of the Estates Masterplan and Campus refresh.
We are seeking an individual with demonstrable experience of supporting the delivery of capital development programmes spanning major capital projects through to smaller scale refurbishment and fit-out projects. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, contract administration, briefing, leading and coordination of external consultants and Subject Matter Experts (SME) with awareness and significant experience of reporting, risk management and stakeholder coordination and management. We are particularly seeking a person that takes a proactive and positive approach to team development and stakeholder management, and who will be genuinely motivated by delivering an inspiring estates environment for the University.
If you are inspired to join a dynamic and purposeful team and play a leading role in a period that will transform the estate and environment for our students, staff and visitors, and would like an informal conversation before applying, please contact Rod Pecover, Associate Director of Estates (Development) at r.pecover@londonmet.ac.uk
