About the role:

The School of Medicine and Dentistry are seeking to appoint a Mental Health Teaching Lead to join our MBBS teaching team at our Westlakes campus in Cumbria. The postholder will lead the delivery of teaching in the mental health aspects of our MBBS curriculum, and will work with colleagues in the University and partner healthcare organisations to design and facilitate the delivery of innovative solutions to deliver clinical learning. The postholder will also be involved in curriculum development and assessment of students.

Candidates will be appointed at Clinical Senior Lecturer grade unless eligibility for Consultant grade can be demonstrated.

About you:

You will have significant experience of working as a medical practitioner within a mental health setting and of teaching undergraduate medical students.

For this role, a full registration with the General Medical Council, a primary medical qualification (e.g. MB, ChB, MBBS) and a recognised teaching qualification or willingness to undertake an appointment are essential.

The post will be based at Westlakes campus. Occasional travel to the Burnley and Preston campuses may be required.
