Summary

Arcus FM are recruiting for an experienced and proactive Engineering Supervisor to lead and manage on-site engineering services across our clients head office site in North West London.

This is a hands-on leadership role, combining team supervision with the delivery of maintenance and repair tasks. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service standards, regulatory compliance, and safe systems of work while overseeing all facilities maintenance and project engineering activities on site.

As Engineering Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead, manage, and support all engineering activities on site, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Plan and schedule engineering tasks and subcontractor activities through a CAFM-based PPM system.
  • Obtain and review reports, certificates, quotes, and identify remedial works.
  • Manage job backlogs in line with SLAs, using a bespoke CAFM system.
  • Carry out a range of maintenance and repair tasks as part of a working supervisory role.
  • Provide line management and support to on-site Engineers and Fabric Technicians.
  • Maintain high standards of quality assurance across all engineering activities.
  • Oversee safe systems of work, including IT-based SSoW processes and work permits.
  • Ensure competence and accreditation of engineers and subcontractors.
  • Fulfil the responsibilities of an HV/LV Electrical Authorised Person.
  • Ensure all activities meet current health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Deliver full statutory compliance and drive best engineering practice across the site.
  • Oversee all site attendances and ensure excellent stakeholder service.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • LV/HV AP experience (or willingness to train and become appointed).
  • IOSH or similar Health & Safety qualification.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience delivering high-quality engineering services in corporate environments.
  • Strong understanding of commercial building infrastructure (HVAC, M&E, Water systems).
  • Experience managing safe systems of work and permit processes.
  • Sound knowledge of statutory and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in planning and managing PPM and reactive maintenance using CAFM systems (Ostata desirable).
  • Excellent customer-facing abilities with a focus on service excellence.
  • Strong reporting skills, including weekly performance, compliance, and safety metrics.

Additional info:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
  • 1 in 5 on-call rota
