Join an Elite Care Team Making a Real Difference
This role is advertised for female care assistants only as a Genuine Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010, to meet the specific care needs of our clients
Are you a highly skilled care professional looking for something beyond the ordinary? Routes Healthcare is building a specialist regional team to deliver complex care support across Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, and surrounding West Yorkshire. This isn't a typical care role - you'll be part of a dynamic, fast-moving team providing expert pop-in support to clients with complex needs across multiple locations.
Why This Role is Different:
This is for care professionals who thrive on variety and want to use their advanced skills every day. You'll be:
✓ Part of a Specialist Team - Working alongside experienced complex care professionals
✓ Using Advanced Clinical Skills - Tracheostomy care, suction, spinal injury support, ventilation management
✓ Always Learning - Every client and location brings new challenges and opportunities to develop
✓ Trusted & Autonomous - You'll be the expert on the ground, making clinical decisions with full support behind you
✓ Mobile & Dynamic - Travel across the region supporting multiple clients (all travel fully reimbursed)
Who We're Looking For:
We need confident, adaptable care professionals who:
• Have at least 6 months paid UK care experience (complex care background ideal)
• Hold a valid UK driving license and have access to a car
• Are comfortable with clinical procedures - tracheostomy, suction, nebulizers, or spinal injury care (training provided for the right candidate)
• Thrive on variety and can adapt quickly to different environments
• Want to be part of a team, not working alone on single packages
• Have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship
What Makes Routes Different:
⌠We're NOT an agency - You're part of our permanent team
⌠No agency staff on your shifts - Just Routes colleagues
✅ Real support - 24/7 on-call team who know you and your clients
✅ Career investment - Routes Academy training program
✅ Wellbeing focus - Mental health and wellbeing support included
The Role:
• Rate: £15 per hour (including holiday pay)
• Locations: Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, and surrounding West Yorkshire - travel between clients
• Travel: Fully reimbursed mileage
• Team Structure: Part of regional specialist support team
Additional Benefits:
• Structured career development pathway
• Flexible shift patterns for work-life balance
• Generous staff referral scheme
• Access to ongoing specialist training
This Role Is Perfect For:
• Those who want to use and develop advanced clinical skills
• Team players who thrive in dynamic, changing environments
• Drivers who enjoy variety and travel
• Skilled carers ready for the next challenge
