We're looking for a WEEKEND HOME CARE ASSISTANT to join our team at FAITHS CARE LTD. in Colchester.
In this fulfilling role as a Weekend Home Care Assistant, you'll be providing essential care and companionship to clients, helping them live independently and with dignity in the comfort of their own homes. Your efforts will directly improve the well-being and quality of life of the people you care for and well support you every step of the way.
The clients that we support are from 21 years of age to 100 years of age!
We support those who are physically disabled, elderly, have sensory impairments, have dementia and have learning disabilities. During interview we will discuss your preferences. We will also discuss your specialties, if any and tailor your rota to those identified.
YOUR ROLE AS A WEEKEND HOME CARE ASSISTANT:
As a WEEKEND HOME CARE ASSISTANT, your responsibilities will include:
o PROVIDING PERSONAL CARE: assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming to ensure clients comfort and dignity.
o SUPPORTING WITH DAILY LIVING TASKS: helping with meal prep, light housekeeping, and errands to keep clients homes running smoothly.
o BEING A COMPANION: offering emotional support and companionship to enrich clients lives.
o MEDICATION SUPPORT: helping clients with medication management and ensuring they stick to their care plans and communicating any issues back to the management team.
o TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE: driving clients to appointments, sourcing modes of transport or helping with errands when needed.
o CLEAR COMMUNICATION: regularly updating families and care teams on clients' needs and preferences to ensure the best possible care.
What We're Looking For in a Weekend Home Care Assistant:
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE as a weekend home care assistant or a similar field is a bonus, but not essential as we'll provide all the training you need!
EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS to build trusting relationships with clients and their families and to communicate effectively to the office team with any changes in need to ensure person-centred care at all times
A CARING AND PATIENT NATURE, you should be passionate about helping others and making a difference in their lives.
A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE is essential, as you'll be transporting clients to and from appointments.
BASIC IT SKILLS we use simple tools for documentation and communication, so comfort with technology is helpful.

o £13.50/hour (Weekends)
o £19.50/hour (Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day) if they fall on a weekend
o 45p per mile for mileage
