Summary
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader for a leading food manufacturing company based in Leicestershire
This is a permanent position direct with our client
The Job:
• Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be leading and be responsible for a small team of warehouse operatives
• However - this will also be very much a hands on role so you will be part of the small team and will be required to do all expected requirements along with the others.
• This includes - but not limited to:
• Health & Safety - promote safe working practices, investigate and report both near misses and incidents
• Quality - ensure standards are maintained and improved
• Delivery - checking of stock - both in the warehouse and expected in, overseeing goods inwards, loading of delivery vehicles
• Cost - ensure stock holding is accurate and any wastage is at a minimal amount. Ensuring operational KPI's are achieved
• Day to Day - training, identifying any skills gaps, planning for holidays

• This department is a day shift that operates 6am-6pm
• You will be working an 8 hour shift along with 1 hour break and the team will work hours to cover the operational times.
• Additional hours or overtime are required due to production requirements and for annual leave/sickness cover
• Salary is negotiable up to £32k
The person:
• Previous Warehouse Team Leader or Supervisor experience required
• Happy to work in a smaller warehouse operation and working as part of a small team
• Happy to do a hands on role - this is a job where you are expected to do the same role as the rest of the team
• Good problem solving skills
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Computer literate and numerate
• Preferably have forklift certificate but not essential
• Have access to own transport due to location of site
