Summary

Our client, a leading educational institution in Tameside, Greater Manchester, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-time Cover Supervisor to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the school by providing essential classroom support and supervision in the absence of regular teaching staff.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons and managing classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher. This will involve following lesson plans, maintaining a positive learning environment, and ensuring that students remain on task and engaged in their learning. You will also be expected to provide feedback to the regular teacher on student progress and behaviour.

In addition to classroom supervision, you will also be required to undertake a range of administrative tasks, such as taking attendance, completing lesson reports, and liaising with other members of staff as necessary. You will also be expected to participate in staff meetings and training sessions to ensure that you are up-to-date with the latest educational practices and procedures.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a minimum of a GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths. A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area would be advantageous but is not essential. You will also need to have experience of working with children or young people in an educational setting, either in a paid or voluntary capacity.

In addition to these qualifications and experience, our client is looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about education and committed to helping young people achieve their full potential
- Able to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Confident in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to think on your feet and respond to changing situations
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Committed to ongoing professional development and willing to participate in training and development opportunities

In return for your hard work and dedication, our client is offering a competitive salary of £600 - £700 per week. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including:
- Generous holiday allowance
- Opportunities for ongoing professional development and training
- Supportive and collaborative working environment
- Opportunities to make a real difference to the lives of young people in the local community

If you are passionate about education and want to make a difference to the lives of young people in Tameside, Greater Manchester, then we want to hear from you. To apply for this exciting opportunity, please submit your CV and a covering letter outlining your suitability for the role to our client's HR department.

Our client is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age.
