Summary
Our client, a leading provider of specialised care services in Crediton, Devon, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join their team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs, helping them to lead fulfilling lives and reach their full potential.
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing personalised support plans that address the unique needs and challenges of each individual in your care
- Providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes personal growth and independence
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care and support
- Monitoring and documenting the progress of individuals, adapting support plans as necessary to achieve the best possible outcomes
- Building strong, positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders to foster a sense of trust and belonging
- Participating in regular training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in the field of behaviour support
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with complex needs, preferably in a similar setting
- A relevant qualification in social care, psychology, or a related field (e.g. , NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care)
- A strong understanding of positive behaviour support principles and practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel
