Summary

Pipe Layer - HS2 Project (Birmingham Area)

McGinley Support Services is recruiting experienced Pipe Layers for an immediate start on the HS2 project in the Birmingham area.

Our client is delivering major civil engineering works across a 225km section of the new high-speed rail line between Euston and Birmingham. We are proud to supply Pipe Layers and a wide range of skilled trades across multiple sites on this flagship UK infrastructure project.

This long-term scope of work includes:
✔ Viaduct construction
✔ Tunnelling & shafts
✔ Road diversions
✔ Overbridges
✔ Major earthworks (100+ million m³ excavation)

Responsibilities

  • Lay pipes in accordance with drawings, blueprints and specifications

  • Install and repair underground pipelines for drainage and utilities

  • Use mechanical knowledge to diagnose and resolve issues

  • Operate power tools, including welding equipment, for pipe connections

  • Excavate and dig trenches for pipe installation

  • Maintain strict compliance with site safety rules and procedures

Requirements

  • Valid Green/Blue CSCS Card

  • Proven experience working as a Pipe Layer on civil engineering projects

Pay & Benefits

  • £20.67 p/h PAYE Direct

  • 1.3x overtime after 10 hours daily

  • Overtime Rate: £27.49 p/h

  • Lodge/digs available
