The Best Connection Maidstone, are recruiting Multiple Class 1 Night Drivers for a leading parcel delivery company based in Aylesford, Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers who want consistent shifts, a supportive team, and the chance to secure a permanent role based on performance.
What's on Offer
- Class 1 - £18.32 Per hour
- Class 2 - 16.65 Per hour
- Immediate starts for the right candidates
- Potential for permanent employment, subject to performance
- Regular night shifts
- 2/3 straightforward trunk runs per shift
- Routes no longer than 45 minutes each
- Some handball required
- Paid weekly
Night shift operation
Simple trunking work - Potential for manual loading/unloading
All routes are local, maximum 45 minutes -1hour long, ensuring a smooth and predictable shift
Approximately 2/3 runs per night
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 1 and Class 2 vehicle on scheduled night trunk runs
- Maintain accurate delivery and collection records
- Ensure compliance with driving legislation and company procedures
- Represent the company professionally at all times
Induction Requirements
All drivers must complete a Driver Induction, including:
- Theory Assessment
- Practical Driving Assessment
- Drug and Alcohol Tests
- Successful completion is required before starting.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) and/or Class 2 (C) licence
- CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and Working Time Directive
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work nights
- Must pass the required induction and assessments
