Summary
Connect Appointments are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join our client's busy manufacturing site in Freuchie (north of Glenrothes). This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key leadership role within a high-performing engineering and maintenance function.

- 4-on 4-off shift pattern (6am-6pm & 6pm-6am)
- Basic salary of £41,600 per annum
- Shift allowance of £12,480 per annum

Working as an Engineering Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing, developing and supporting the engineering team to ensure safe, effective and high-quality work
- Planning maintenance activities and allocating resources to maximise uptime
- Liaising with internal teams, external contractors and service providers to maintain high service standards
- Monitoring workmanship and providing coaching and mentoring to improve performance
- Ensuring all Health, Safety, Welfare and Environmental responsibilities are met within the department
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement and supporting site-wide food safety and improvement initiatives
- Promoting strong PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) standards and ensuring CMMS processes are followed
- Ensuring sufficient training and competency within the team for H&S, food safety and audit requirements
- Completing shift reports with clear follow-up actions
- Carrying out appraisals, disciplinary and team development discussions
- Working flexibly across departments and sites to support changing business needs
To be successful in this Engineering Team Leader role, you will have the following skills, traits and experience:
- Qualified to SVQ Level 3 or above in an engineering discipline
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
- Highly motivated and proactive, with a passion for developing people
- Able to lead by example and ensure compliance with legislation, company standards and industry best practice
- Strong communicator with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience in planned maintenance environments and using CMMS systems
