Summary
University College London have completed their recruitment and have offered the 3 spaces to the following 3 candidates that will be fully funded on placement here at Newham Talking Therapies.

These three posts will be funded via cost centre: E71370 - Newham IAPT LDA Fund- 5436 - PAMs Band 4.
University College London (Education Provider) have approved us to recruit x3 Band 4 -IAPT Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Low intensity) - on placement/training for a years fixed term training contract, which is funded via NHSE salary support. This will be from Monday 2nd February 2026 to Monday 1st February 2027.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

This is a training role within the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Programme (IAPT). The post-holder will work within the IAPT service providing high volume low intensity interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role. The training post will
equip the post – holder to provide a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self- management interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. The post- holder will attend all taught and self-study days required by the education provider, as
specified within National Low Intensity curriculum and work in the service for the remaining days of the week using their newly developed skills.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities
