This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring fire safety compliance and protecting patients, staff, and visitors on a 6 month rolling contract basis.
Your new role
As the Interim Head of Fire Safety you will act as the Trust's competent person under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. You will:Lead the development and implementation of the Trust's Fire Safety Management Strategy.
Provide assurance to senior leadership on compliance with NHS Firecode (HTM 05 series) and statutory requirements.
Oversee fire risk assessments and ensure timely remedial actions.
Advise on fire safety aspects of capital projects and liaise with external agencies.
Manage and mentor the Fire Safety Team, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree or equivalent in Fire Safety Engineering or related discipline.Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., Institute of Fire Engineers).
Extensive experience in fire safety management within large, complex organisations (healthcare desirable).
Strong leadership, influencing, and communication skills.
