Job introduction

We are looking for an Apprenticeship Adviser to join the Solent Growth Partnership to deliver education around apprenticeships to schools across Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight.This is a full time role based at the Civic Offices with travel to secondary schools across the Solent region.

Your new role

The role focuses on promoting awareness of Apprenticeships among young people, building strong relationships with schools and colleges, and ensuring tailored support through sessions and prioritised requests.It involves recruiting and supporting Enterprise Advisers (EAs), monitoring progress via the EANR system, and contributing to Careers Hub impact tracking.Key responsibilities include attending meetings to advance Gatsby Benchmarks, sharing best practices, targeting disadvantaged groups to raise aspirations, and coordinating major events like the Careers and Apprenticeship Show.Additionally, the role utilises marketing channels to enhance engagement with education providers and employers, while collaborating with partner organisations to deliver a shared regional agenda.

Who is the person summary:

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 or higher qualification or equivalent experience and possess excellent knowledge of Apprenticeships, the education system, and careers education.They will have experience engaging and building relationships with schools, colleges, and businesses, as well as delivering dynamic, engaging sessions to young people.A strong understanding of the post-16 landscape, including the National Apprenticeship Service, Uni-Connect, National Careers Service, and T Levels, is essential.The role requires outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences and promote innovative approaches.Candidates should demonstrate proactive, independent working, effective prioritisation of multiple projects and deadlines, and strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.Competence in using digital tools, IT systems, and social media platforms to enhance awareness and impact is also required.
