Summary
The Auchinleck Community Development Initiative are seeking youth workers to join our fun, innovative team to help make a difference to the lives of young people. You will be working directly with children age 8 and upwards.
As a Youth Worker you will assist the Youth Workers to deliver the weekly events and activities calendar for young people to help meet the needs and aspirations of young people.
The aim is to work with young people to inspire, encourage and empower them to grow to their full potential as involved members of our communities.
The successful candidate will need to have:
- Experience of working with young people aged 8 to 18
- Excellent communication skills
- A keen interest and understanding of the issues and factors faced by young members of the community and in particular those aged 8 upwards
- The post holder must undertake a PVG check for working with children due to the nature of the post
- Safeguarding knowledge
- Experience in working in a busy environment
