Supply Chain Manager
Location: Telford
Duration: Permanent
Salary: up to circa £65,000 per annum (experience dependant)
Hours of work: 37 hours per week Mon- Fri

Join a leading engineering business with a strong global presence and a reputation for delivering innovative solutions. This well-established SME is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of its end-to-end supply chain operations and lead a dedicated team across procurement, planning, and warehousing.

In this key leadership role, you will manage supplier sourcing and relationships, oversee materials expediting, and ensure efficient storage and warehousing processes. Your focus will be on driving performance, improving efficiency, and supporting the company’s ambitious growth objectives.


As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be getting involved in:
• Lead and manage the supply chain team across procurement, planning, and warehouse operations
• Oversee purchase order approvals, pricing agreements, and supplier contracts in line with company standards
• Drive supplier sourcing, performance analysis, and strategic partnerships to support production schedules
• Implement cost reduction initiatives, leveraging strong analytical and negotiation skills to optimise spend
• Manage materials flow and inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient storage across UK and international sites
• Coordinate stock audits and reporting, maintaining compliance and accuracy
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to meet operational requirements
• Develop and enforce best-practice procedures for purchasing and materials management


We are looking for someone who has experience in:

• Proven experience in supply chain management from within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
• Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation ability, and cost-control expertise
• Highly organised with a disciplined approach to inventory and materials planning
• Exceptional analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
• Previous experience in roles such as Supply Chain Manager / Procurement Manager / Purchasing manager / Materials Manager / Purchasing and Planning Manager
